I wasn't committed to it.

But the failure of that was the seed for the success in the Arctic.

Because I made sure I had everything covered going to the Arctic.

And I've spoken in the past, and I'd be an absolute hypocrite if I didn't talk about this, that every failure you have is a potential seed for future success if you allow it to see it and learn from the mistake.

And I made so many mistakes in Barcelona.

I wasn't prepared.

I didn't follow the track right.

I didn't go there with full commitment to get to the finish line regardless of what happened.

I kind of just rocked up.

i didn't let that happen in the arctic i was committed to either leaving in an ambulance or getting to the finish line i was prepared in terms of my proper kit and nutrition and fueled my body as well as i could and doing that gives you a kind of confidence that right if shit goes bad which it will go bad because that's how fucking life is things will obstacles will come up in your way that's what happens relationships turn bad relationships

Business gets hard.

Fitness is difficult because you've got to eat your meals and do your training sessions and life gets in the way.

Fucking shit is hard.

But when you're focused on the end goal and you control everything you can control, it makes it significantly easier because you build confidence knowing that I've done everything I can do and everything else is outside of my control.

He was asking the interviewer how was I nonchalant or very relaxed about the whole thing.

I said, because there's nothing else I can do.

I physically train my body to the best of its ability.

I have all the kit that will hopefully help and serve me in the Arctic.

I have my nutrition dialed in and I know how to fuel my body.
