And I think like what Cortez Masto and Klobuchar would argue is that like
You know, they put a lot of work into these bills and they worked in a bipartisan manner.
And they sort of argued that Booker was throwing a wrench into their sort of the legislative process that they had been running.
And so, you know, it's sort of it's people have different philosophies about how to respond in this moment.
But Booker is articulating more of a fighter mentality for sure.
I think that is the biggest question that faces Democrats on Capitol Hill right now.
You saw a version of this in March with the government funding fight where, you know, there was a year long continuing resolution, they call it, to fund the government through September.
That's going to be coming up again in September.
They're going to have the same fight again in about two months.
you ultimately had most Democrats saying no to that because they're opposed to what Trump is doing.
They're opposed to what Republicans are doing.
And the reason there was so much blowback against Schumer is because he led a small group of Senate Democrats in voting to continue funding the government.
And so I think it is a difficult question for Democrats, especially in the Senate, because
things like government funding, right?
Those are bipartisan processes, right?
I mean, there's a lot of ways in which bipartisanship is not necessarily happening right now, but government funding historically has been bipartisan.
And so the question that faces every senator is, okay, like given the situation here, do you risk shutting down the government?
Is that a risk you're willing to take?
I'm not sure if I saw that clip.
