But those of us, even those of us who are reporters, those of us who cover this very closely, people aren't really sure what's in there.
I think it's one of those things where, at least for me personally, every time Trump weighs in on it and sort of reacts more angrily to the whole situation, I sort of, my ears perk up a little bit more.
I mean, I think this is something that didn't really hold my attention very much.
prior to this blowing up into a big issue.
And so, you know, I think it's the reason why we're hearing about this so much is because Democrats have found a way, I think, to sort of exploit a genuine sort of division between Trump and many of his supporters.
Is this what people are going to be voting on in the 2026 midterms?
I don't know.
If I had to put a gun to my head to make me guess, I would say maybe not.
But it's something that, you know, if you're sitting in a committee and a Democrat puts up a resolution calling for the DOJ to release the Epstein files or something to that effect.
Right.
You are not comfortable.
Republicans are not comfortable voting against that.
And so it's sort of a weakness point that Democrats have been able to exploit.
You know, I don't know if there's a strong sense in one direction or another if we're ever going to see it.
I don't see how this situation is tenable right now without some sort of disclosure at some point.
But at the same time, you know, Trump has outlasted all sorts of scandals.
And so it's hard to say, I think.
yeah i mean this was this was a fascinating hearing i was actually you know i usually cover these hearings just remotely i watch them on video because sometimes it's easier to hear them that way but i decided to show up in person um and you know it was it was full attendance everyone was there and it got really heated and it was the fighting was mostly sort of polly versus other republican senators and
You know, it's not that common to actually hear lawmakers talking about this in public in a high profile setting like this amongst one another.
And you kind of see that it's actually, you know, it's controversial.
