The fact that if this actually proves to be sustainable, that's a really, really bad outcome and certainly does set a precedent if you think about it.
There's a bunch of other countries potentially who maybe have – who say, well, it may be international waters but it's very close to us.
Maybe we should think about charging a toll as well if we've got the military capacity to enforce that.
Now, I'm not saying that's going to happen but certainly this does create a very dangerous precedent.

The idea that this was not foreseen is a myth.
I think military planners for years have always sort of scoped this out and said, well, if you were to have a conflict with Iran, probably one of the first things they would do would be close the strait.
So this has been warned about for years, but somehow this just got lost in the decision-making to go to war.
I think that's true.
And I think sometimes – and I try as much as I possibly can to play a straight bat on this politically.
But sometimes when you see stuff that looks a little crazy, you've got to kind of acknowledge that.

And you look at what have the Iranians done in response to being attacked?
Yeah.
should not surprise anybody.
This was always, um, always going to be a risk that this is how Iran would respond.
And, um, the idea that it wasn't foreseen just isn't true.
Um, and how we get out of this mess is another matter.
Um, you know, the cost involved for everybody, um, is very significant, including the Iranians.
