My name is Felipe Dominguez of River Construction, a foundation and site work company serving Northern Virginia communities, including Loudoun County government for 39 years.
These properties will be directly impacted by Dominion Energy's Golden to Mars proposed transmission line and substations.
As many of you have mentioned, there is a lack of space for businesses.
This impacts much needed existing business space.
We are not here to stop the energy grid from growing.
We understand the need for reliability, but we are asking the board to stand with us and demand that this project does not come at the expense of businesses and the residents and the schools that have invested in, hired in, paid taxes in this county for years.
Together, properties and over 50 family businesses will be affected by these routes that represent real jobs, real tax revenue, and a real economic contribution to Loudoun County and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Studies in this very proceeding have estimated the property devaluation impacts as high as $180 million.
That is not an abstraction, that is our land, that is our operations, that is our livelihoods.
The undergrounding option is not a luxury.
Less than 1% of the $50 billion data center investment this line is designed to serve is a reasonable ask for undergrounding the lines.
Loudoun County already recommended undergrounding properties within 500 feet of residences.
We ask that commercial properties receive the same protection.
The direct beneficiaries of this line are data center corporations.
The people bearing the burden are us, residents, small and mid-sized businesses that have been here for a long time.

And that's for peace, community, and an American dream.
It's a daily necessity.
