This style of overthinking can look like getting trapped kind of in this endless attempt to talk yourself into feeling better. matched

It can seem like a positive thing. matched

Let's say you have an uncomfortable thought, emotion, or trigger, or there's some self-doubt. matched

And instead of allowing that discomfort to exist temporarily, the mind starts trying to reason its way out of it, internally explaining, reassuring, debating with yourself, reframing. matched

analyzing and just almost that like trying to just think your way out of it, think positively. matched

But the brain becomes so focused on checking whether this reassurance is working that it's almost like the dis the discomfort stays active. matched

And you can spend hours trying to convince yourself that you're okay and that nothing is wrong, that you've made the right choice. matched

And ultimately in those moments, you are overthinking. matched

Examples might be a thought like they're mad at me. matched

And then that triggers a spiral of analysing, but why would they be mad at me? matched
