No, well, we didn't have Zoom then.
It was good old fashioned Skype.
Which was great because I didn't feel like I could even get out to go to a session.
And I loved CBT because it's so your thoughts and feelings and behaviours and how they all interact.
And if you can come in at one level, like if you can challenge your thoughts or you can tweak a behaviour and look at the influence and on the other two.
It just felt like it took it out of me and it became something I could be proactive about.
And the thing about anxiety is...
No matter what you're anxious about, anxiety is looking for certainty.
It's looking to do something.
It's looking to like go into some sort of action mode to resolve it.
So CBT, even before I'd even started to do the exercises and the experiments, it just felt like I was channeling it in a way that was productive and was going to help me.
And I think anxiety needs that.
It needs that sort of action.
But mind us anyway, the energy has to go somewhere, you know.
So that was really good.
And I started to do things like I remember like one of the experiments would have been was my mom's 60th birthday.
And I was invited on a media press trip to go up to the north to some nice hotel.
And I was like, oh, God, like, I don't know how I'm going to cope.
By this point, I was back working, but I was still very much recovering.
I was working in Image magazine.
