And so if they hadn't endured those injuries, I think they probably would have won maybe three or four more games last season just because of the style of play that Thiago employed.

So, you know, I think for him to do all of that, to take that all on his shoulders –

And to thrive in that situation, I think this really says great things about Tiago, his ability to to again, to get into a locker room, to get that locker room behind him and get that locker room moving in one direction.

So I think that, you know, his experience.

Last season in Portland, taking over for Chauncey, while it's not something I think anyone would have wanted to have happen, including Thiago, I think the way that he was able to deal with it, I think really says a lot about who he is as a person and as a coach.

And I think should give people in Chicago a lot of cause for optimism.

um about him as the coach with these guys on the floor yeah i think you know being a center and being a big guy i think you know there's always an assumption that's like well he's a he was a center he was a big so maybe they want to play like a slower more post-oriented style of play and that's not tiago at all he wants to get up and down on both sides of the ball

You know, he he's really a devotee of the notion that you either take shots at the rim or you take three pointers.

You don't take mid range jumpers, which, you know, I think that's another thing about Tiago and the job he did in Portland this year that outside of just the actual.

strategic part of that is getting players to buy into that because Portland had quite a few guys who were kind of mid-range shooters.

You got Jeremy Grant and Danny Avdia and Drew Holiday, guys who were kind of accustomed to playing in that space.

And one of Thiago's main thrusts his first season was like, hey, guys, like, I understand that's the way you guys have played.

I get that you've had success with that individually, but

but we're going to try to play a different way here.

And I understand that that's maybe going to be uncomfortable for you sometimes, but I'm just, I hope that you can come along with it.

And he got great buy-in from the team right off the bat.

And they were able to, to I think overperform because of the way they played up to and including, you know, shooting a lot of three pointers, despite the fact that they were the worst three point shooting team in the league last season, percentage wise.

So, you know, I think from an offensive standpoint, you have a guy who again, wants to play that new style NBA ball, uh,

who is really going to give, as a lot of former players do, really put a lot of trust in his players to go out there and make decisions on the court on their own.

He's not going to call plays every single time up and down.
