I don't think so.
Maybe when it comes to personality, especially if we end up in relationships that are all ending and we're with the same person, then we need to go a little bit deeper and look at our emotional triggers from when we were younger and look at the way that we have been brought up and why we are going for the same person over and over again and why it is ending over and over again.
Hi, thanks so much for having me.
Oh, no.
I mean, all my partners have been very different from each other, but they're all super lovely.
So maybe that's my type.
Just nice people.
Oh,
a good
We are usually shaped by references from our upbringing and social interactions when we're younger.
So usually our attachments to our primary caregivers will form the basis of how we form relationships with other people, whether that be good relationships or bad relationships.
I mean, that was one of the old theories.
There's a few different kind of research options for this.
There is the kind of track that we might go for people that are similar to ourselves, or maybe if we were...
younger and we were used to taking care of people and we end up in a position where we're getting with someone new.
It might be with someone who's a bit more vulnerable and then we have to take care of them.
So in a caring position or maybe another kind of option or journey we can go on for this topic is we will go for people that will make up for our defenses.
So when we're younger, we might have
things that we feel insecure about or maybe we're a little bit shy so we could go for people that are the opposite people who are outgoing and maybe a little bit more outrageous than we are so that can balance us out but that might not always be a good thing because if we're really giving people
and we want to get with someone who's maybe a little bit low key, we might end up with someone who's maybe emotionally unavailable or a little bit aloof in a way as well.
