Yeah, absolutely.
So I started doing SEO in about uh two thousand three and it was when I was working for a small web development shop building crappy web pages and front page, if anyone remembers the Microsoft website builder software.
We used tables and they were great.
And uh but we had problems with things ranking.
So I was tasked with figuring out uh how to get all the websites we were building to rank and that's how I discovered SEO.
It was in the very early days of the industry.
Lots of things were driven by newsletters and lots of people were both SEO and PPC practitioners.
That's obviously changed.
Now you specialize in one or the other usually, but at the time people did both.
So yeah, it was early days and then I started focusing on mobile SEO um the first time I got a fancy cell phone, the first time I could really afford one.
And I did some searches and I was like, these are bad results.
And I don't have the power to change Google, but I can help, you know, developers do a better job at building websites that Google can understand and rank better for mobile.
You know, lots has changed with mobile since then at the time.
It was even like a separate index, basically.
But that's how I got into it is I kind of just said, hey, this seems important and no one's talking about it.
Maybe I can figure it out and talk about it.
And that's how I ended up
up focusing on mobile.
