The expectation is you're going to have an amazing time or a lovely time.
It's going to be relaxing.
And then to discover that, you know, in the holiday, that is just, it kind of, I mean, how can you go on to enjoy your holiday after discovering that?
It must have been a pretty awful experience for you.
Oh, man, that's just awful, Ebony.
It can sometimes.
Well, sometimes when we're on holidays, it is an unreal situation.
It's not really based in reality because, you know, there's not many circumstances where we're not working, we're not stressed, we're relaxed, you know, drinking cocktails every night and eating beautiful food.
I mean, it just creates a kind of fantasy world.
And sometimes, you know, people, when they kind of get back to the real world, can kind of forget about the holiday fling.
And that's one of the downsides of holiday flings is when people get back to their real life, they kind of cut, they can tend to cut off the connection they made on holidays.
So, yeah, I'm really sorry to hear that, Ebony.
Glad to hear
It does happen, but what I would say is you need to kind of test it in the real world.
So if you do have a holiday fling and, you know, maybe it's an amazing, incredible experience, you've fallen in love in a number of weeks and you're just crazy about each other, hopefully they live in the same country as you.
That's a good start.
If they're in the same city, that's even better because what you need to do is you need to start spending some time with each other back in your home city and...
you know just just dealing with life's ups and downs that we all have to deal with you know going to work feeling stressed having financial difficulties at times or paying bills because that that's when you really start to get to know someone because you you're back in the real world unfortunately what happens for some people particularly when the fling i've seen this so often they they have this holiday fleeing but the person's in another country
And then they decide to change their entire life based on this long distance romance that they haven't actually really got to test in the real world.
And unfortunately, it can lead to a really bad outcome.
