And also, particularly if you're in different countries or even different cities, then you go into a long-distance relationship.
If you're not seeing each other on a regular basis, it's very hard to build a strong foundation for your relationship.
And then sometimes the fantasy can kind of discontinue because you're just communicating occasionally.

Well, I think they're breaking the stereotype of, you know, the tough Aussie bloke who doesn't need anyone who's resilient, who can, you know, survive on his own.
And these guys are building kind of an intimate relationship, which I think is fantastic.
You know, I've often subscribed to the idea we need a village.
You know, we need lots of people in our lives.
to create healthy individuals and relationships.
So it makes sense that different friends are going to bring out different aspects of you.
And I think that's a good thing.
When relationships run into trouble is when people expect one person to be everything to them.
too much pressure.
There's often something going on underneath and usually it has something to do with how important you feel in the relationship.
You know, I often say to girls in this situation, you know, you don't stop your boyfriend from spending time with their male friends, encourage it, but you need to make sure that the primary relationship, you and him, is still the most important and you put aside time where you can connect, where you have uninterrupted one-on-one time.
I think that's an overreaction.
