And that can actually be very pleasurable and enjoyable for them knowing that their partner is experiencing their sexuality with other people. matched

Yes, unfortunately, and I always advise, you know, don't open the relationship to solve current relationship problems. matched

Because what ends up happening is you end up with many more problems than you had to begin with. matched

You have to come from a really solid foundation of security and trust and honesty and openness. matched

So if you're already feeling disconnected or you're having sexual problems in your relationship, don't outsource that as a solution. matched

Well, you know, one of the things that comes to mind is this idea that if we open the relationship, we're actually going to feel stronger, we're going to feel closer. matched

And for some people that is the case. matched

But it can also, as I mentioned before, it can really raise feelings of jealousy and insecurity. matched

And so sometimes it actually has the opposite effect where one partner might become more jealous or more insecure. matched

And I've even heard of couples where, you know, they've opened the relationship, it's been going really well, and then something will pop up that they never thought of. matched

For example, one story I heard was a girlfriend saw her boyfriend's sex partner on social media and she didn't expect that. matched

But when she saw the photo of her boyfriend's sex partner and how beautiful she was, she suddenly became incredibly excited. matched

insecure, even though she had been really solid about the whole open relationship up until then. matched

So they're the kind of things that can come up without warning. matched

This is a really important aspect, Hannah, because you have to have a really clear understanding of exactly what the rules are. matched

Otherwise, it can be a free-for-all. matched

But certainly, you know, you have to sit down. matched
