I think that certainly in the queer community, they've kind of led relationships opening up.

But what I've seen more and more recently is heterosexual couples opening relationships and even a lot of married couples wanting open relationships.

And for those couples, they probably need to close the relationship at least for a period of time, just so they can focus on rebuilding trust, feeling safe and secure, reassuring one another.
