To be honest, I'm trying to think of the thread that led me here.
I just started getting super involved in the activism side of things.
I made friends with Vani Hari, the Food Babe, Cali Means, and started putting myself in front of these people.
And I just got involved with Maha.
I think what really started my work with Maha specifically is last year Ron Johnson put on, Senator Ron Johnson put on a nutrition roundtable that I was invited to speak out with Bobby Kennedy, Callie Means, Jillian Michaels, my friend Brigham Bueller, Alex Clark spoke.
And we opened the doors and the communication to start asking the questions of why are Americans so sick?
This is, you know, we kind of outlined why we think it is and what we needed to do about it.
And from there, it just kind of exploded into this whole group of us really trying to actively make change in the food industry.
And you know what I said before is there's a lot of amazing things happening in Maha that I'm really happy about right now.
One thing I say all the time, and I want to repeat this, is that I've been in this fight for almost 20 years.
I remember I voted for Obama.
Not proud of it now, but I will say I voted for Obama because at the time he was talking about GMOs.
He was talking about going after Monsanto with glyphosate.
And then I watched him with my very eyes sell out the American people to Monsanto.
And he made it such a battle for us to get...
just a simple label on our food, on our labels about if they were using bioengineered ingredients.
So it was such a battle.
And then, you know, so I've just, I've been in this fight for so long and I've watched all these presidents and I've begged any of them to say something about it.
No one ever even mentioned that we were sick.
No one ever said anything about the health of our population.
