I've spoken up many times before, but nothing ever happens.

So will it be effective?

So they're the two questions we tend to ask.

But when we think about the costs of defiance, some people and certain groups have more costs than others.

So some people do not come across as a threat and find it easier to defy.

They have more entitlement and people often expect it for them and they're not punished.

Others get more of a backlash and there's more costs and consequences for them to defy.

It's not as safe.

And it might not be as effective when it comes from certain groups.

So these are the questions that we need to really think about what's safe for you might not be safe for someone else.

And we shouldn't assume the same level of safety or effectiveness.
