I think this comes from creating the environment where it's safe for people to speak up and hearing about these tensions, that you're not incentivising something that can actually produce unethical behaviour.
I think that's key.
It's like often we think or we hear that our boss, our leader, our CEO is asking us to do something no matter what it takes.
And this is where sort of the sense of values really becomes important, that if you're connected to that, if you're...
connected to integrity and transparency, you want to be able to hear that from your team when they speak up.

So, Sunita, what is your definition of success?
What does the word mean to you?
think success has changed for me over the years along with my relationship with compliance and defiance and I think you know when I was much younger success really was about pleasing parents and the people around me and I don't think that is the right way to think about success as external validation it's really something that is meaningful for you and right now what success
means to me, especially with the work that I'm doing now.
I mean, this book that I've written, Defy, is really an accumulation of both my professional work, but also personal.
And my strong desire is to make Defiance accessible to everyone.
Because we often think of Defiance as being loud and aggressive, maybe violent and angry, but it's actually not a personality
It's a skill set that we can choose to use or not.
