And because there's not much that I can do, I need to just surrender to this.
And y'all, it worked out.
Actually, it probably worked out better than what we'd originally planned.
And I got there for my daughter.
And it turns out she didn't dance for like the first hour and a half of her recital anyway.
So even if we had even if we had missed our flight, I think I still could have gotten there in time to see her dance.
I would I was so grateful that it worked out the way that.
that it did, but I had this moment where I realized like Danielle it's okay.
Even if it hadn't worked out, it still would have worked out.
And there's something beautiful about that.
And find those little places like in the airport that you can practice surrender to.
And recognize that these like little moments like that maybe feel small, that don't feel like they're fixing the wiring in the moment, that they still do matter.
And over time, that's how you start creating those new grooves.
Those new the new wiring, the neuroplasticity, like whatever, I think of 'em as grooves.
I once heard it described as thinking about record players, like old-timey record players, actual records, and the grooves and how you had to get the needle and the groove.
Some of our grooves are deep and it makes it so easy for the needle to slide into that groove.
And you might be creating a new groove.
It is gonna take some time for the needle to learn to go to that new groove that you're creating.
Mistake number four.
Waiting until you've earned it.
