I mean, I actually agree with everything he just said.
Even though we were talking – I guess I'm talking from the optimistic standpoint that it could have been worse, and he's talking about, hey, let's ring the alarm bell.
And I agree with him.
This is going to make it tougher to be able to stop the Trump administration's overreach, and it will make it harder –
for those who want to stay in this country who get threatened by birthright citizenship revocation but there is a way to do it and it's so that's what i'm saying it is not the end it just means that people who want to hold the trump administration accountable limit their power are going to have to work extra hard and raise more money to pay for more lawyers yeah okay so if you're dealing with this i mean look guys this is what i see
True, but there's going to be a lot of money raised for groups to take them on, and you don't need to have class actions in every jurisdiction.
You just need one.
You can have a nationwide class action.
And so that's why when this –
This case was brought before the Supreme Court.
The fear was they're going to just eliminate it altogether.
They're not even going to give you a safety valve.
They're not even going to give you a chance to go and hold this administration accountable at all.
But, no, it was Amy Coney Barrett who probably said, no, I'm not going to go that far, but I will write this opinion, and I'm going to make sure there is an alternative.
Now, again, Cosima's right.
This is going to make it more expensive.
But you can do – especially for birthright citizenship –
That is easier to do a class action for than some other items, because we're talking about a class of individuals across the country who were born here, who are threatening to be deported.
And I think they are gonna be okay, but other areas, it's gonna be a lot more difficult to fight against the administration.
But also I'm gonna give you one more silver lining, because I am the optimist here, Don, is that this issue of nationwide injunctions has been controversial
