And that terrorized the rest of the population into not into, you know, remaining silent, into staying at home, into acceding to or accepting this continued oppression that they live under.

I think that's the critical point.

That's what shows the true face of the Iranian regime.

And I'm not, you know, I'm sure a lot of people are going to have a problem with what I'm saying, because to them, the numbers are important.

I obviously understand the emotional attachment they put to them.

But to me,

What I've looked at is, you know, what is the nature of this regime and whether they could kill one person brutally or a million person, but that's a million people with that same brutality.

It reveals the instinct of this regime, which is the degradation of the human spirit rather than its uplifting.

It's the inverse of our value system here in the United States, which is based on the value of the individual.

Well, look, I think you're absolutely right.

Iran is not interested.

It's not interested in the prosperity and security and peace for its own people, much less so Lebanon.

The real interest there, they tied the Lebanon ceasefire to the Iranian ceasefire because here...

As well as their most critical asset in the region, I'd say more important than ballistic missiles, more important than nuclear weapons.

And I know that's a tall claim, but everywhere Iran has gone, everywhere it's expanded its influence, be it Lebanon, obviously Syria, where they tried to enter into Bahrain, Yemen, Gaza, Iraq.

Hezbollah was there first.

There would be no Iranian regional expansionism without Hezbollah.

You can't lose that asset as much as it's been degraded.

So what you're trying to do is give the United States a direct stake in the continuation of the war in Lebanon, which we otherwise would not have had, right?

So Iran's telling the United States, you want your war to stop?
