It was a lot of viewership for that World Series too, but not like this one after having Canada behind the Blue Jays.
And just the style of play that the Blue Jays bring, I think they bring a lot of fans who don't even routinely watch baseball.
We're talking about
Spouses who are watching next to games with fans who have lived and died with this team all year, finally catching their attention.
Friends at a bar who are like, oh, yeah, this is a fun team.
Look at what Vladdy is doing.
Look at the way he slid into home.
Little things like that grab attention.
I really think this World Series and the Blue Jays themselves created new fans for baseball.
And to me, that's always the coolest part, right?
I hate to hear baseball is dead and all of those sort of narratives.
It's not.
It's a lot of fun, and I think the Blue Jays helped to point that out in this World Series.
Yeah, it definitely looks, especially after this stretch, the Yankees had a really daunting stress, kind of a stress test is what I was referring to about the Astros.
They played the Blue Jays, the Tigers, the Red Sox.
They came out of it 7-5, which is as good as they could have hoped.
But even then, right, they woke up this morning, looked at the standings, and there's still four games behind the Blue Jays.
