Let that sit with you this morning for a second. Now that the adrenaline is down. Now that we have an off day to sort of contemplate the fact that the Blue Jays are one win away. They take two in Los Angeles in emphatic fashion. after losing that heartbreaking Game 3, and now they come back to Toronto with two chances of winning their first World Series since 1993. Welcome to JSTOCK+. I'm Julia Kreutz here with Show Ali today as Blake Murphy makes his way back from L.A., I think we've done maybe one playoff show together in this run in October, and it was a pregame show.
It was on a weekend at the ballpark. All great stuff. But I got to say, this was the one element that to me was missing with this whole thing because we've done so many of these for so many years. I know that our record is less than great. We don't have to talk about that part. I mean, the Blue Jays are rolling right now. They don't need our luck or our bad luck interfering with them because they control their own destiny. Again, here we are. So it's nice that we have this opportunity to do this. Thanks for coming in. How are you feeling with the Blue Jays being one win away?
Yeah, it's pretty exciting stuff, right? I mean, if you had told me... There are so many if-you-had-told-me's, right? If you had told me the Jays would win 11 games in a row at one point, if you had told me the Jays would win the division, win the season series against the Yankees and the Red Sox and the Mariners and the Tigers, and if you had told me that Vlade would hit Grand Slam and Springer would hit a three-run bomb in Game 7 of the ALCS and that they would be one win away from the World Series. I mean, there are a lot of if-you-had-told-me's I wouldn't believe you necessarily, so... It's been a lot of fun. Yeah, it's been a lot of fun working with Jeff Blair and Kevin Barker and with you and with Blake.
So yeah, it's a pleasure to always be on with you, Jules, certainly. And a rare pinch hit opportunity for me here in the World Series is one I will always take.
Yeah, listen, it's funny because in my notes for today, I did have one that said, if I had told you in the last game of spring training when the Blue Jays won the golden grapefruit that this is where we
would be. Keegan had me convinced that was real. Yeah,

real, yes. But that's the case, right? We did a ton of those spring training shows. And definitely, I think then we already had an inkling here show that this group was indeed very likable. And there was something special there. However, there's just so much heartbreak in the past, especially in recent years, that I have to say it was, you know, it was tough. to believe that it was the real thing, right? And I can understand if some of the fan base was reluctant as well, but the Blue Jays kept showing who they were. And then if you're watching this team every day, it did not take that long for people to start sort of understanding that, okay, this is actually... There's something different that is happening here.
And then you see the Yankees coming in and realizing that things are different in Toronto. And then you see the Red Sox and even the Orioles. I mean, the last time we did this, we were talking about a sweep against the Orioles in September.

yeah, that's true. Yeah. So the Mariners, like every single team that rolled into town sort of learned one by one what these Blue Jays were made of. And now throughout the postseason, the national stage and the international stage are also learning a ton about what these Blue Jays are all about. And what they're all about is they can beat you in so many different ways. We saw that yesterday. They can... ambush a first pitch for a home run which davis schneider did yesterday against blake snell they can also string together three singles and a hit by pitch and they will score on a wild pitch and they'll do all of the little things right they will play incredible defense they will run the bases extremely well that is what they're all about and now everyone gets to see it too
