Well, this last year just 'cause I got to share it more with my family, my son, uh, you know, taking him to all the games, having him in the press box with me and kind of being able to share that with him more.

Whereas, you know, the year before when you're playing, you're just so focused and dialed in to what's going on and um it kinda consumes you honestly for two, two and a half months.

So but it's completely different.

Obviously the pressure's off when you're not playing.

and and uh there were a couple times in the the run that it was you know I could have been going in the lineup and that was exciting and um that would have been awesome but uh you when you know that you're not really um gonna be playing every night it uh definitely takes the pressure off and you just kind of become more of a an advocate in the locker room, at least for for me in my position with that group.

my my voice carried a lot of weight with them and I had a lot of close relationships with a lot of those players from Nuge to Connor to Leon, you know, the stars and then um players up and down the lineup I think that I had really tight bonds with everyone so it was almost more like

Um, you know, I'm there practicing with the team, traveling with the team.

I'm I'm there for everything except on the ice for games, right?

But I'm also just kind of

trying to settle the boat when things are rocky and when things are a little too high, kind of settle people down and when things are tough we can um boost people up so just kinda being more of a

a positive influence in the locker room, which is I was doing that when I was playing, but, you know, obviously when I wasn't playing that was becoming more of a focus and

And something that I could really, you know, take pride in.

Yeah, I mean I think that was definitely part of it, albeit probably a small part of it.

I think certain people like Nude specifically really appreciated my journey.

I mean, I I think everyone did.

I think it's a cool story.

Um, you know, it's it's a really it resounds well with especially the youth.

You know, it's uh it's a great story of, you know, never give up, uh perseverance, kind of honing your craft and adding

adding layers to your game.
