And the second piece, again, is this responsive listening.
So putting in the effort to hear other people, caring about what they're sharing with you, and showing that you're listening to them with your words and with your nonverbals.
So how can you use this framework with a colleague?
Every time, all the time.
I mean, you can use it over email, over text and face-to-face.
Every time you interact with a colleague, you should be thinking, what topics are valuable to them?
How can I bring value to them?
What are they going to find interesting and exciting?
If you don't know ahead of time, you can just ask them, what are you excited about lately?
How can I be helpful?
What can I do?
