And so it it you know, it's certainly fine to date someone who is a year, two, three, four years older than you are.

as one way of kind of, you know, addressing that that broader pattern that we're seeing, you know, young men especially today I would say taking a bit longer to
to grow up.
Mm-hmm.
But also recognizing that there are, you know, there are also plenty of guys in in your grade who are doing well and are kind of like yeah stand up guys.
And so just also being aware too of of those guys.

But yeah, I I the question is do they is it sort of the the prospect of asking someone on a date that scares him or is it just the prospect of marriage that scares him?
You know, it's yeah.
And this is, I think, a more common thing that we're seeing is that young men just feel a certain kind of hesitation.
They don't want to be kind of ostracized in their social circle.
They don't want to be called out on social media for asking someone or or, you know, ridiculed for being turned down by someone.
So there it it is, I think I think these devices have made it harder for guys to marshal the courage to ask someone on a different
negative not just for that particular situation in person, but for their social like reputation.
I do want to underline though just this idea that

the to be blunt, the danger is you end up like Scott, who I described in my you know, my morning discussion.
Here's a guy who is um in his mid thirties in the suburbs of DC.
You know, as I said, like he's got a house, he's got a decent education, he's got a good career, like he should be fine by the sort of elite culture standards.
