So that's a great question.

And I would certainly want to stress that like the most important thing uh should be faith, not family.

And that we have at times made the mistake of idolizing the family.

And certainly my

my own writing rhetoric can be a little bit too, maybe family, rah, rah, rah.

So it is the case that the most important thing is uh is the faith and is the gospel.

It's also the case too I'm Catholic and so I have a number of friends who are living celibate vocations as priests and nuns and

Um, other forms of consecrated, you know, life.

And so there's just no question in looking at their lives that they're

Faith life is, I think, deeper and richer than most of what I would see in the in you know in in the broader Christian community.

They just have they've got more time, more focus, more intensity, kind of just to devote to um our Lord.

So I I certainly kind of see that as like an important path.

We need to sort of continue to sort of lift up the celibate path.

But having said that, I think it's important to also say that I think for most of us we're called to a vocation that in incorporates marriage and family.

And we are sort of seeing dramatic declines in marriage and dramatic declines in childbearing uh unfold in the United States.

I mean, sort of record levels of people who are not

uh marrying and not having kids.

So I think what is playing out is not sort of what would be consistent with what God would want for m like most, not just Americans.

Now we're seeing these these trends play out across the globe, except for really Sub Saharan Africa.

So there's just sort of a record epidemic of people who aren't fighting their way
