So I would say a couple of things.

Um a lot of my students at UVA kind of have this idea that they can hit about 27 or 28.

kind of snap their fingers and find their perfect person and then get married around 30.

That's kind of their plan, basically.

That's their that's either their explicit or their implicit plan.

And I think for a lot of their parents who might have gone to UVA, for instance, that that whole approach worked out fine.

You know, they managed to kind of do that.

But as I've been speaking to sort of 20 somethings and 30 somethings now in this current culture, I think that that plan is

Yeah.

Deeply flawed.

because people are experiencing a lot more difficulty in finding someone to date in in their mid, late twenties and in their thirties.

And so for for that reason I think that we need to re kind of

Revisit, not necessarily return, but revisit kind of the value of you know dating more seriously in college and then sort of seeing that as one venue, for instance, where you can meet your future spouse and then get, you know, get married, for instance, in your early or mid-20s, for instance.

Um, so part of it's just kind of changing the mindset for young adults to sort of encourage them to sort of see 20-something marriage as a good option.

And then once you kind of have that mindset,

that you can kind of look at college I think in through a different prism.

And be more open to serious relationships.

So that's sort of one thing I would say.

I I also think too when it comes to guys, um, you know, we have to help our young men to kind of as I say, you know, or as they say nowadays, level up, you know, just to kind of like

Improve their game.
