There's parts of the drug effects that make you kind of question what is real and what is not real.
Ask bigger questions.
There can be ways in which the psyche amplifies things that feel dangerous or threatening or terrifying.
And,
So we also have to take that into consideration too, that sometimes these experiences can be very profound, but also some people can feel like they've broken their brain forever because of a psychedelic experience.
That happens to some people.
It's not the majority of people, but it definitely happens.
And what does that mean?
Well, when someone has an experience or they get exposed to something they wish they hadn't, had a thought that they wish never occurred to them, opened something up inside of them that they never were navigating before, or they just feel at a mental level differently.
Okay.
Watching someone give a talk on this at the trauma conference that's run by the trauma foundation that Bessel van der Kolk is associated with.
And this woman was speaking about a young man in his 20s that couldn't stop hearing music in his head after an experience.
And he felt like he was losing his mind.
So something even that subtle can perturbation of someone's psychic experience of themselves.
We want that to shift for good.
But what if it shifts in a way that doesn't feel like it happens for good?
We need to be talking about these cases as well.
Well, I feel like I want to know what it means to yourself as an inalienable right of existence.
And unfortunately, I think most mental health conditions clip our access to ourselves.
Right.
