That's fascinating.
So it's actually got a lot more complex chemical structure that actually works on a number of different neurotransmitters at the same time, which is kind of fascinating and differentiates it.
There have not been as many clinical trials on Ibogaine, not nearly as many as psilocybin, and much of the work that's been done around it outside of Africa has been in these retreat centers that are happening in Mexico or outside of the United States.
And I just learned recently about the history of an American learning about its opiate benefits accidentally in a recreational setting.
He was a heroin user.
But there are thoughtful experts on this topic, and it's important for people to do that research that's necessary.
But so...
Basically, in these retreat settings, they're using them most commonly.
The interesting component about Ibogaine is it has this interesting affinity at the opiate receptor sites that allows people to more rapidly go from opiate dependence, and they have to start going through withdrawal in the same way that we have to do that with Suboxone.
We use Suboxone for people who are transitioning off of opiates onto Suboxone.
From my understanding, they start to go into withdrawal and then they introduce the Ibogaine.
And something about the mechanism of Ibogaine is able to more rapidly and robustly allow them to move out of opiate withdrawal faster and leave them on the other end.
I think Ibogaine can last up to 36 hours a journey.

So that is quite astounding.
And it makes good sense that people have been very curious about it.
That experience that people endure in that non-ordinary state of consciousness from Ibogaine can look very different across different people.
But many people were reported as like an autobiographical kind of life review experience.
