We need better stewards.

We need better education.

We need consumer support.

agencies that take complaints.

I have a very lovely colleague and now friend, Juliana, who works on the East Coast and has a lot of experience with these sort of things.

And she's become an unofficial repository for abuse happening in these clinics and also harms happening in these clinics.

So I just think we have to be very careful and cautious about making sure that these are

Meeting the standards of care and when they're happening outside of the health care system that you're not familiar with and you don't know how those regulatory processes are happening, it gets much more complex, which is, again, another challenge of going outside of the states to do that work.

I just, I personally don't feel like there, for me to make a recommendation on something, I want to meet the standards of research in this country.

And we are not there yet.

So my recommendation is to not go and do something that hasn't met research standards that are required within the context of the United States.

And I understand that that's a difficult thing to hear.

One, I'm not an expert in Ibogaine, so I don't feel like I can speak to it, the nuances, as many other people can.

And the good news, I think, about this is

There is a massive public campaign of awareness around Ibogaine right now where many states are putting lots and lots of money towards funding for Ibogaine research.

So again, it is happening here in the United States.

Texas has...

millions of dollars being put towards ibogaine research and i think this new executive order that happened with president trump trump also talked about matching state funds with federal funds for research and ibogaine is included in that um in that mix of research so it is happening here okay um

I just think, and we still also have very good treatment for some people.

Unfortunately, this is the difficulty for individuals with use disorders.
