So I'll give you two examples of this.
One is the person who's very stoic and even, right?
So we kind of think of that maybe as like mild spectrum.
Um so you know they're they're stoic, they're they seem grounded, right?
Um and their partner maybe has a lot of trauma.
They have a they're a high energy, intense person, you know, the kind of type A personality, if you will, perhaps.
Um, and they go, Wow, I can do anything and say anything, and you're really even.
Like you're very you're a calm presence, and there's an attraction to that.
But then later on I hear things like they never share their emotions, they don't really seem interested in what I have to say, and I and I go, Well what initially attracted you to your partner?
And they're describing basically the same features.
So that's one example.
Another example is with ADHD, people are generally impulsive and spontaneous, which
You can probably see where I'm going here that that can be very attractive, right?
Like, oh, we just on a Saturday morning, hey, let's just go camping for the weekend, right?
But then later in life it's you know, we've got two kids, I can never make plans with them, um y you know, there's no follow through, right?
It it's unpredictable, which causes issues.
So
I think it can be especially for people that don't have the emotional intelligence and awareness, which your executive functioning is a largely related to higher um
higher primate functions like certain kinds of self awareness and emotional intelligence.
