I th there's some research that women tend to be uh

more undiagnosed later in life than men do, you know, on the spectrum.

And so oftentimes when I'm working with a couple, um, you know, the one of the standard courses of therapy in couples work is EFT, Emotional Focused Therapies.

And um it's, you know, very emotion centric and all that.

When it's when that curriculum doesn't work for people, then I start to go, okay, is this a case of autism or s neurodivergence or something like that?

Um and then I you know, I try to rule out trauma and rule out the other things, of course.

But it means that I need to switch my curriculum because teaching someone to just express emotions when that's just not in their nature and that would be a really heavy lift.

means that they're not gonna be successful, they're gonna feel like a failure and it's gonna perpetuate even more of the cycle they're stuck in.

And and you know, my focus is on couples retreats.

So I generally work with three or four days intensively with people, so I don't have months to sorta figure it out.

We we really get to the work very quickly.
