There's a reason that you have 86 billion neurons and a quadrillion connections.
If it was reproduction and getting food, you would stop as a bacteria.
They do a great job.
They get food and they reproduce.
It's for more than that.
That drain demands good stress.
It needs to be challenged.
In fact, studies have shown that people who are very mentally active and then they retire, and then for the next two years they didn't do anything, guess what?
The steepest decline.
Damn.
Yes, but the ones that maintain the level, the same level of activity, but maybe run things that they always wanted to, they maintain the cognitive capacity.
Because stress used to be a one-time thing or less frequent, right?
A tiger was after you.
Right.
You either died
stress or both.
And then now in the modern world, every single system in your body is affected because when you're under stress, your body is telling you, I don't have enough energy to spend on this, this, and this.
These are luxury states.
My entire focus is going to be on survival.
