I think what we want to be able to do is get to the point where we accept the stresses that come into our lives over which we have no control, control the things that we can and not let anything kind of flatten you too much ideally.
So much.
And you, you know, for the same price, which makes it a complete bargain, by doing some work on managing your stress, you're probably going to come out of it a happier person because a lot of the things that help you handle stress, things like mindfulness, things about sort of acceptance and commitment,
those things can actually help you really find joy in day-to-day living and day-to-day things that can really, we don't have really good evidence that that joy is going to extend your life, but it's certainly going to make the life that you do lead more pleasurable and allow you to have a positive attitude so that instead of going,
Oh shit, not another day in the gym with a bloody 20 kilo weight thing again and that personal training that I absolutely hate.
You'll just be going, aren't I lucky that I can afford to go to the gym and that I get to do these things for my body that are going to make me alive for my, I'm going to make my great grandchildren, how good.

And even when you're picking that one thing, life is not a punish, right?
If you've got 18 things that you want to change about your life, and a lot of us do, like that's not untypical for a lot of us working women, don't choose the thing that you hate the most that is going to be the biggest punish because that's like guaranteed fail one.
And that's going to mean that you're not going to go on to stage two, right?
Go for the low-hanging fruit.
Go for the things that are actually achievable in your life and accept that there'll be some of these things on the buffet table that we're going to talk about that you will never, ever, ever achieve, and that's okay because everything that you do for your body that's good is good, and everything that you don't do for your body that's bad, that's also good.
And we're just moving in a generally good direction as opposed to doing a life transplant, which is not really that feasible.
So I just wanted to say that because I think we –
Healthcare professionals can sound a little bit preachy and like, oh, you need to eat protein and you need to be lifting weights.
