So I suppose frustration is probably the starting point, isn't it?
Like, you know, you have all these aspirations as a young person thinking, you know, I'm going to become a doctor and I'll be able to deliver really good healthcare.
And then you start to realise the incentives behind healthcare and
you start to see the inefficiencies.
And I remember when I went to the States, I met a CEO over there called Rashik Fernandapool, and he had a company called Iora Health.
It was the largest provider of value-based healthcare in the States at the time.
I'll never forget, he said to me, you will never change a system from within.
And so that was my kind of ticket to going, well, if you want to change something, you can stay complaining about it, or you can actually get out there and try and do something about it.
So
At that point, I became maybe, if you want to call it an accidental entrepreneur.
But yeah, there's always been a little side of me that likes a wheeler dealer as well.
So I think.
For me, I think it probably was.
I mean, second on my CAO to medicine was economics and finance.
And I think I could have gone either way.
I love the caring side of healthcare.
I love that idea of doing something bigger than yourself.
And I still love that part of it.
But I don't like the inefficiencies of it.
I don't like the filling of the boots and the filling of seats approach to it.
