Like, how are we in this modern day able to have answers about every single thing on planet Earth almost in the palm of our hands and look it up instantaneously?

And yet we go on diagnostic odysseys for conditions that affect women in high prevalence.

Like one in 10.

And yet it takes on average nine years to be diagnosed with endometriosis.

And that to me is like, we've actually underlooked or underserved that statistic, right?

We throw around the statistic that endometriosis affects one in 10 women and that it takes on average nine years to be diagnosed.

On average means that for many women, it takes a significant... Yeah, even longer.

even longer.

And I went to an old parliamentary meeting in the House of Lords, and essentially they were talking about, these women were talking about how long it had taken them.

And these were women in their 30s saying, actually, it wasn't until, you know, I was 34, 35, 36, it wasn't until they were maybe actively trying to conceive, far longer it had taken them to get to a diagnosis.

So sometimes the statistics, as devastating as they are, actually

really underestimate the true impact of this ignoring of women as being individual research entities.

Exactly.

And I think that's where our work really in the workplace is so important.

Yes, we were denied our education in school.

We have systematically and systemically been told, you know, that this is a problem and that the language and the rhetoric we use around women's health and women's bodies is always negative.

It's always a threat.

And a weakness.

But actually, that's why we say, you know what, there's another opportunity to meet women.
