I think bringing up this kind of vulnerability
It's not something that we do often and it's something that maybe we feel like we have to bring up and we've got to jump into straight away.
But we don't really deep dive with anyone straight away.
So firstly, I want to say, let's take the pressure off.
Let's slow it down.
We don't have to dive into the whole big bang straight away.
Give it time.
But that being said, we don't want to hide anything either because we know that's not effective.
So I think there are a number of different ways that we can start to talk about our mental health.
Firstly, put some time aside for it.
Let's make sure that we have a bit of time to talk about the conversation because we don't want to put it out there and say, okay, got to go or avoid the conversation after that.
we want to be able to also know I think at that point what we're looking for if we are going to have a conversation about our mental health so that we know what's a good outcome of the conversation what's a an outcome that we're not so happy with
yeah well I think you nailed it there those two outcomes generally don't work out so well I think the key
upfront about our needs in a conversation one of the hard things about this conversation is that we feel like we we put it out there and we might talk about it but the other person is kind of uncertain sometimes about how to respond I was reading a blog article today and
And it actually kind of said a couple of things that I didn't really agree with.
So it said in this article that you should say things like, you know, are you okay having this conversation?
What do you need from me?
What's it like hearing this from me when you're talking about your mental health?
But one of the problems with doing that is when you're talking about your mental health, by saying those things like,
You know, what's it like hearing this from me?
