Now, then it comes to the question of the hangover.
Depending on what they're working on, the brain is going to keep processing whatever you did in that session for the next 24 to 48 hours.
And that's actually one of the beautiful parts of EMDR is that it's not confined to just those 50 or 90 minutes or whatever it is.

And so we don't have to have homework.
We don't have to have, you know, stuff like that.
And part of that, especially in the next day or two for some people after some sessions can be a bit of a hangover, but not always.
A lot of people feel great or they're regular, they're normal after an EMDR session.
And so everyone's going to be different.

For some people, and with complex trauma, it can be anywhere and all over the map.
But let's just say there are some people who they don't have a lot of clear, concrete memories of the trauma they experience,
their body very much reacts.
And so it may not be that there's pictures and images and thoughts that are coming up, but their body is activated.
They are dissociating, which is a very common and normal thing.
