Um and then I think
You know, one of the biggest things is there's not
oftentimes a lot of follow up in the assessment process with the person being diagnosed.
So one of the biggest
uh components to my evaluation is that we always have a feedback session and we always talk about why I think they have ADHD or why I don't think they have ADHD.
And I always like to throw on the table too, I like to say like, look, we're we are just um we're organizing data.
I'm playing detective.
We're going where the data takes us.
And you know, sometimes I can be very confident where the data takes us.
Sometimes the data that we have isn't super clear.
And I'm honest with patients about that in terms of, you know, that we can only work with what we have.
But I often tell my patients too, we're gonna partner together.
So if there is something in the way from knowing for sure that this is ADHD.
we can work together to figure out what's the best way to connect them to resources to address those issues so we can better remove a variable and kind of see what's going on for them.
So I think that feedback component is important too.
I like to walk my patients through and say this is why we came to this conclusion.
Uh and this is why I'm very confident in that conclusion, but this is why I'm a little shaky on that conclusion, and this is where we go because of that.
Absolutely.
So when I am working with someone, uh, one of the first questions I ask, especially working with adults, is why why was this missed until now?
What could be the factors that are contributing to this?
