uh with the with inattention and issues like that.
So I yeah, I've heard things similar.
I remember I was working with
A 10-year-old boy and his mom's like, well, he can't have ADHD because he can play video games for 15 hours straight.
And the thing about video games is they're designed to pull your attention.
So for someone who has ADHD, like it's it's hitting all of those reinforcing uh, you know, aspects to keep you engaged in the game.
So, you know, and then we know that when things are reinforcing and interesting with ADHD.
you can get those aspects of hyper focus, right?
Where like you're spending tons of time on this thing that's very interesting to you.
But then when it came to doing math homework, that was boring.
And that's where you start to see the impact of ADHD there, because even though he wanted to do well in school, he had a hard time staying engaged for more than 15, 20 minutes.

uh applications are even more challenging for people who have ADHD because they're so reinforcing and they provide an escape to the border.
Um and so
In my work, you know, again, that kind of goes back to looking at those childhood symptoms.
Do we see evidence of this before?
Um, so before they had, you know, uh access to a phone all the time, are we seeing it in elementary school?
Are we hearing teacher reports that they had a hard time doing their work?
and staying focused.
Those are the types of things we're looking at to kind of diff differentiate that.
