And I know that's not a very nice thing to say, but it's kind of real.
Someone cuts you off on the road, you get really emotional, you start saying dumb stuff.
You have a fight with your partner because they've left their tea bag in the sink in the kitchen for the 400,000th time, even though you've told them not to, and your brain goes, whoop, like this, and your intelligence goes out the window.
So that's kind of what's going on with trolling.
Yeah.
Well, the very, very far downstream effects, if you're like that all the time, is that you end up having a heart attack.
You end up having a massive, like, but we're talking like way down the track because when you get into this fight or flight mode, when you get into this high anxiety mode,
You increase all the cortisol, which is a stress hormone buzzing around your body.
You increase the adrenaline pumping around your body, makes your heart pump faster.
It basically puts you into this high stress mode.
And high stress is so bad for our system when it happens in an enduring or chronic way.
At a personal level, let me get personal for a quick sec, Ella.
I've withdrawn myself from all social media.
I'm no longer on social media.
I've got a business account.
My team runs that for me.
And the reason for it is that I kind of get really caught up in what I'm talking about online.
Like I say stuff and it really matters.
And then when people come at me and they do, and they come at me so hard online and I used to get in there and I used to try to persuade them and convince them that they were wrong and I was right, or at least help them to be open to my ideas.
And eventually I realized this is killing me.
