And as part of the fellowship and as part of the human centered design process, you really need to back up
Take a pause and understand that it's not about what you want for this project, what solution you think.
will work.
But again, really co-creating with your end users, listening to your end users and allowing them to lead in a way that is not generally done
anywhere really, but especially in healthcare and especially with nurses, because you know, we are the ones that are driven to solve problems.
We do it every day in the work that we do.
But this process really, like I said, it makes you stop and pause and
to, you know, something we were talking about before we were recording, empathy is the foundation, the understanding what your colleagues need, what your patients need, what your community needs.
That's what drives the process.
Yeah, uh so many, so so many thoughts.
Well, I think a number of things.
One, nurses are trained and educated to be the problem solvers.
Like I said, it's what nurses do every day.
They do workarounds constantly within their shifts.
I think there's some like unverified quote that usually like or statistic that floats around out there that nurses do like 30 work
workarounds per shift.
So there's a lot of things in healthcare that need to be fixed.
And nurses are the ones in the space at the bedside that have to fix it in order to provide whatever type of care that they're providing in the moment.
So we are intrinsically the fixers because we're the ones in the problem area having to fix it right at that moment.
we don't have time to wait for other people to like come and fix it.
