We're helping them struggle through their teenage years, right?

But if it was just going out and having a good time with them like you do with your friends, well, you'd enjoy that a lot more too.

The big thing is, are you going through the experience together kind of with each other?

That's an important one.

So things that allow you to be in sync essentially with another person.

This is why I think people like watching movies together so much.

is because we're going through this emotional roller coaster at the same time with each other.

And then we can talk about it, you know, afterwards.

Social experiences where we're competing with each other can be not quite as connecting with each other, but they're still fun if we're doing this fairly, right?

So, you know, in sports...

Technically, you're competing with each other, but you're doing it in a cooperative environment where we agree on the rules and what the playing field is like, and we understand what fairness looks like.

But the social experiences that are really powerful, the ones we're doing together with each other that are cooperative in some way.

I would say typing to each other, right?

The things that you do at parties where it looks like it's a little like the diet soda version of social interaction where you're not really engaging meaningfully with anybody.

You're just flitting around from one person to another person.

So one good strategy, and I think this is actually a really sweet one.

He has a habit, which I just, I admire and think is wise too.
