And progressive overload doesn't necessarily mean more weight.
It could, but it could be, there's a variety of ways to progressively overload.
You have to create such a tension and stimulus upon the muscle that you activate type two fibers and you induce muscle protein synthesis, right?
If you don't get there, and that's usually grunty, ugly face.
That's usually you having a grunty, ugly face.
If you don't get there, you're not inducing muscle protein synthesis, which is like, what's the point?
There's no point into picking those weights up then.
You might as well, honestly, and I know people argue with me, you might as well just not because you're completely wasting your time unless you are progressively overloading.
That doesn't mean you have to go to failure.
It doesn't mean you have to pick up the heaviest weight in the room.
It means you have to figure out what your, I go through this inside my strength vault
I explain this in detail, but you have to figure out where you are about to hit failure.
You're two to three away from failure.
And again, there's a variety of ways of doing it without just adding weight.
So don't come at me like so many did during those few days of like, strength training with heavy weights is dangerous.
No, it's not dangerous if you know what you're doing.
And also-
You don't have to lift heavy to have ugly grunty face to get to the edge of failure.
But that is a topic for another day.
I would highly encourage you to hire somebody to help you with this if this is not landing for you.
