Whether you're taking HRT or not, whether you can or cannot take HRT, I still think herbs are awesome.
Just know that some herbs stimulate
your ovaries to do something.
And if those ovaries are offline, then they're not going to be stimulated to do anything.
I would not mess with herbs without talking to, if you have a history of breast cancer, work with someone who definitely knows what they're doing.
Because if they're giving you medication to block your estrogen receptors and they don't want any estrogen in your body, then taking something like hops, for instance, drinking beer.
Beer and hops are directly pro-estrogenic.

If you're a beer drinker, you're literally drinking an estrogen tincture.
So just be careful what you do with herbs and supplements if you are post-cancer.
If you're active cancer, don't listen to any of this and talk to whomever you're working with, whatever team of practitioners you've built around you, go with what they say because they are specializing in what's happening to you in this moment.
But if you're post breast cancer and you want to dabble with, you know, black cohosh, St.
John's wort, dong guai, all of those, find an herbalist who knows what they're doing, who's comfortable working with you and your situation.
Because, you know, herbs are powerful.
They're not completely benign.
They're medicine.
They have an impact.
Definitely the dose matters and the source matters and all of that.
But more than anything, some of you may know this, like you can kind of get yourself in trouble with herbs sometimes if you're not careful.
There's maca, there's red clover, sage, milk thistle.
