So bottom line is, yes, I think telemedicine companies are a great way to access hormones.
They're not always the best way to manage
someone on hormones.
So a lot of you, I know that's the only route that you have to get what you need because your doctors aren't cooperating or your doctors are new to this.
A lot of doctors are new to this.
They're opposed to it because they don't want to deal with it.
I don't blame them either.
Dealing with hormones in middle-aged women is not a fun process always.
And so I understand why some doctors just don't even want to do it in the practice and they tell you no.
But instead of telling you no, a lot of them will just tell you you're not a candidate.
which is unfair and untrue potentially.
That's why I say get another opinion.
Find someone who really loves doing it.
My colleague loved doing hormones.
I sent everybody to her after a while.
When I got sick of dealing with it all the time, I was like, you take on all of these complicated hormonal cases and she absolutely loves it.
That's her wheelhouse.
Happy as a clam.
I handled the situations where I was doing musculoskeletal medicine.
