You learn the rules.
I've I've spent my life mostly moving quickly.
I have a pretty fast pace when I'm walking on my own.
I can meander, but I w I have a faster pace when I walk.
And it never occurred to me to question that.
crossing the street.
The walk signal changed, you cross, life move on, you know.
End of story.
That's your day.
But once the question was planted, I started seeing it everywhere.
And I bet you will too.
I began noticing also how many ordinary parts of daily life depend on our ability to keep moving through the world.
comfortably and confidently, you know, that there's a pace that we're running on.
Whether you're running between airport gates during a very tight connection, something many of us have done.
maybe a few too many times, uh, making it across that busy intersection before the countdown reaches zero.
And now the modern ones have like the countdown and the sounds blurring at you and you're sort of like intentionally picking up your pace.
Keeping up with your friends who are avid walkers or athletes that may have a pace that exceed yours, you know, on a walking tour or just taking a walk and talk.
Or even ex explorations that you do yourself in a city when you know, without wondering as much how much energy you have, when you'll have to turn around, when you'll get back.
So these are things that I think about and maybe you can see some and many more too.
I'd love to hear.
