they can't find that middle ground.
If someone is truly monogamous and not only wants monogamy for themselves, but wants to be in a monogamous relationship with their partner, that might not work.
But what I found is when the monogamous person in that setting, when their needs are filled to overflowing, it's much easier for them to say, okay, honey, I don't want to connect with anybody else, but you go out and do your thing.
I'm going to go do my own thing.
The monogamous person isn't sitting there in the dark, chewing on their nails, freezing and sad, but they are actively interacting
engaged in something else and they feel like they get enough attention and affection and sex and goodies emotional yumminess from their partner it's much easier for them
to give their partner room to go be with other people.
I would say it's no more evolved than monogamy.
And there's a lot of kind of polyamorous propaganda about polyamorous relationships being more mature and more evolved and superior.
to monogamy, and I would say maybe some of them are, but some of them are a hot mess and certainly not superior to anything.
There are monogamous people who are quite insightful and evolved having very mature relationships,
And there are polyamorous people having very mature relationships.
There are monogamous people who are small and grasping and jealous.
