Um because your prefront frontal cortex is still developing, which isn't going to happen till matched

probably later in your teens and into your twenties. matched

Um and then your executive functions, your ability to make decisions on a whole range of more complex um uh bases um is going to balance out the impulsivity to a degree. matched

So um, you know, I think in terms of moral development too, um we're still forming that. matched

By our teens we're much more able to matched

Um, but there's also desire and self interest and there is also the excitement of um an interesting older person. matched

I just think that the difference between sixteen and twenty eight, developmentally there's so much happening. matched

Um the the power in that age group matched

Um the twenty eight year old has potentially access to money, independence, a car licence. matched

There's a lot of things that that person has that a sixteen year old can't keep up with, so they're dependent on every single level. matched

Uh look in many ways it is true. matched

Yes, that's that's certainly the case. matched

Um uh i i in a whole range of ways. matched

Um I'm not sure that it always accounts for what we just heard. matched

And you know, I do think life experience and your upbringing, there's lots of different factors that make you more ready for a relationship. matched

Oh look when when there's a big age gap it's probably really smart to um to go and work somewhere else for a whole range of reasons, including just your own experience. matched

And I think too, you get to test whether the relationship can withstand the separateness and the independence um so that you're truly matched
