Um so I guess the degree to which he wanted to be able to influence her but not to have her make too many demands on him. matched

Look, absolutely, it's a it's a good feature in a relationship to be both open to influence and to have someone who you feel can influence you. matched

In fact it's one of the great joys in a relationship to find someone who opens new doors of exploration for you or introduces you to new interests and hobbies and friends and I mean that's the fabulous thing about being in a relationship. matched

Being with someone who can extend you and challenge you um and and foster an inquiring mind, that would be a wonderful thing. matched

Yeah, well look just just on that point about um looking back and thinking it's creepy, it it's also sometimes, you know, we can look back and cringe at our own interests. matched

You could feel creepy about where you were that you thought you that was a good thing too. matched

Um, you know, I I think what draws people, um, everyone's got a part to play in that to some degree. matched

Um in terms of development, um around fifteen, sixteen, if we're talking about those ages in Daniel's case, um your you know, your your prefrontal sixteen, just to be clear, 'cause fifteen's illegal. matched

So in the the prefrontal cortex where you make all your executive decisions um is still matched

performing at that age, you're much more likely to be ruled by the amygdala, which is the site of um emotion and impulse. matched

And so um it it is why sometimes, you know, in those um in terms of the brain the matched

the uh the years of the middle years of adolescence uh much more marked by impulsivity and about things being dramatic and and wanting to make decisions based on emotion alone. matched

So to say, I'm in love and that should be enough, um I it's not tempered by anything. matched
